Six regions of Ukraine are without power due to Russian attacks, according to Ukrenergo

As of the morning of April 29, power outages have been reported in six regions of Ukraine as a result of Russian attacks.

This was reported by NPC "Ukrenergo" on Facebook.

According to the company, the enemy continues to strike civilian energy infrastructure, particularly using drones.

“As a result of Russian drone strikes, there are new power outages as of this morning in Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Emergency repair work has already begun wherever security conditions currently permit,” the statement reads.

Ukrenergo noted that electricity consumption as of this morning is at the same level as the previous day.

Energy officials recommend shifting the main load to daytime hours: from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.—the period of highest solar power generation—and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.—the period of peak consumption, when the use of high-power appliances should be limited

Emergency repair work is ongoing in the affected regions where the security situation permits.

In the south of the Odesa region, two people were injured as a result of a massive Russian attack, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure has been reported.

Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 20 times with drones, shelled it with artillery, and dropped aerial bombs. The Nikopol and Synelnykiv districts came under fire, with damage to infrastructure and homes reported.

The day before, Russian troops carried out about 50 attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region throughout the day, using drones and artillery. Two people were killed and 11 others were wounded as a result of the shelling.

In the Kharkiv region, the day was marked by intense Russian shelling, which killed a 61-year-old woman and injured seven others, including a one-and-a-half-year-old child; the strikes hit both Kharkiv and a number of settlements in the region.

Following a nighttime attack on Dnipro, rescue workers recovered the bodies of two victims from the rubble of a destroyed building; however, according to preliminary data, people may still be trapped under the debris, and search operations continue. The number of casualties has risen to 21; medical personnel continue to provide assistance, and all emergency services are on the scene.
