In June, the defense forces struck 15 bridges and key Russian targets

In June 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued their campaign to strike targets behind Russian lines using middle-range strike capabilities.

One of the priority targets was bridges used by the Russian army to move military equipment, ammunition, and personnel. In total, the Ukrainian military struck 15 such targets.

Russian air defense systems, command posts, and other key enemy targets were also hit. The Ministry of Defense noted that such operations are aimed at weakening the Russian Federation’s logistics and combat capabilities.

“The destruction of logistics facilities, warehouses, headquarters, air defense systems, and other components of Russia’s offensive operations using ‘middle strike’ capabilities is aimed at implementing Ukraine’s defense strategy, specifically to halt the enemy on the ground,” the statement reads.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reports on the main results of the “middle strike” operations in June.

Blocking Russian Logistics: 15 Bridges Struck

Russian logistics were among the priority targets in June. Over the course of the month, strikes were carried out on 15 bridges (8 rail and 7 road) in the temporarily occupied territories:

  • Temporarily Occupied Territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea – 4 (Rozdolne, Voinka, Vladyslavivka, Ichky);

  • Zaporizhzhia Oblast – 4 (Petershagen, Vasylivka, the Korsak River, Azov);

  • Kherson Oblast – 3 bridges (Stavky, Henichesk Strait, Chongar);

  • Donetsk Oblast – 2 (Granitne, Novoazovsk);

  • Luhansk Oblast – 2 (Aidar River, Luhanchik River).

These bridges are vital arteries for Russian military logistics.

The targeted and systematic destruction of bridge infrastructure on key logistics routes isolates individual sections of the front and makes it difficult or impossible to rapidly replenish reserves.

Blinding Russia’s Air Defense: 9 Targets Struck

Throughout June, a total of 9 air defense targets and related radar infrastructure were struck:

  • 4 “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and gun systems (Vidne, temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Kerch Strait area (two units), Feodosia, Dolynske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast);

  • 3 S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems (Kerch Strait area—two missile units and a radar station belonging to the air defense system);

  • RBSN-4N short-range navigation radio system (Saki airfield);

  • "Nebo" radar station (Kerch area);

  • "Skala-M" radar complex (Kerch area).

These successful operations are part of a systematic strategy aimed at creating “blind spots” in the enemy’s defenses.

The destruction of radar stations and air defense systems deprives the enemy of the ability to protect its own military facilities and paves the way for further effective strikes by the Defense Forces.

Strikes on Russian Warehouses and Command Centers

In June, more than 30 strikes were recorded against various types of depots where the following were stored:

  • logistical supplies;

  • fuel and lubricants;

  • UAVs;

  • ammunition.

In addition, strikes were carried out against more than 40 UAV control centers, as well as 15 command and command-and-observation posts.

This was reported by the agency’s press service.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the Omsk Oil Refinery, located nearly 2,500 kilometers from the state border. A direct hit followed by a fire was recorded on the refinery’s premises.

The plant specializes in the production of a wide range of fuels, lubricants, and petrochemical products. In particular, it produces high-octane automotive gasoline grades AI-92, AI-95, and G-Drive 100; Euro-5-compliant diesel fuel; and TS-1 and RT aviation kerosene. The plant also produces benzene, paraxylene, orthoxylene, raw materials for carbon black, and motor and industrial oils.
