Emergency roaming has been launched in Crimea due to power outages
Mobile operators in occupied Crimea have introduced emergency roaming, which allows subscribers to automatically connect to other operators’ networks in the event of a power outage or if their own network is unavailable.
In this mode, users have access to voice calls, SMS, and only services on the so-called “whitelist.” According to the operators, this is intended to ensure basic communication during blackouts.
At the same time, due to widespread power outages, a man-made emergency has also been declared in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
The fuel crisis is also intensifying in Russia: gasoline is running out at gas stations and lines are growing longer.
Russia has allowed the use of lower-quality gasoline due to the fuel crisis.
