Defense forces struck a MiG-29, warehouses, and electronic warfare systems belonging to the Russian Federation
Throughout August 24 and into the night of August 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key Russian military targets in the rear, in the occupied territories, and in Russia. Among them were a MiG-29 fighter jet, electronic warfare systems, radar stations, and fuel and ammunition depots.
On August 24 and during the night of August 25, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important military targets belonging to the Russian occupiers. In particular, successful strikes were carried out against the following targets:
- in Luhansk, a specialized “Peresvet-M” electronic warfare system was destroyed;
- in Mirny (Crimea), a “Starlink” satellite communications jamming station was destroyed;
- in Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, an enemy fuel, lubricant, and ammunition depot was struck;
- in Primorsk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, depots containing logistical supplies for an occupying force unit were struck.
In addition, analysis of the data confirmed the successful destruction of enemy aircraft on Russian territory. Specifically, on August 24, a MiG-29 fighter jet was damaged at the “Millerovo” military airfield in the Rostov region.
The extent of the damage inflicted on the occupiers is currently being assessed, according to the General Staff.
As a reminder, in the Mykolaiv region, a drone struck a commuter train. Neither the passengers nor the train crew were injured.
Overnight, Russian troops again struck Konotop in the Sumy region. A 14-year-old girl was injured in the attack, and significant destruction and damage were reported in the city.
The Russian strike drone that attacked a gas station in Zaporizhzhia on July 6, killing three people, may have been the first confirmed instance of Russia using a drone with a fully autonomous artificial intelligence system.
On the night of August 25, Russian troops attacked a shopping and entertainment center in Slobozhanske, Dniprovskyi District. The strike caused fires inside and near the building, damaged a truck, and damaged the interior of the shopping center.
