Defense forces struck bridges, UAV command posts, and the Slovyansk oil refinery
On June 29–30, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and logistical facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers, continuing their campaign to undermine the aggressor country’s military and economic capabilities.
According to reports, a road bridge in the Azov region of Zaporizhzhia Oblast was struck, as well as a railway bridge near the village of Ichki in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
According to the Ukrainian military, these transportation arteries were used by the enemy to move personnel, weapons, ammunition, and logistical supplies.
The results of the strikes on the bridges are currently being assessed.
In addition, Ukrainian defenders struck Russian military drone command centers in the following areas:
- Veselaya Lopana in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation;
- Komar in the Donetsk region;
- Mirne, Lugove, and Skelyok in the Zaporizhzhia region.
A command and observation post of the occupying forces near Staromlynivka in the Donetsk region was also targeted.
An assessment of the damage caused by the June 28 strike on the “Slavyansky” oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation, confirmed significant damage to the facility’s infrastructure.
Specifically, four storage tanks with a total capacity of 35,000 cubic meters were destroyed, and nine more tanks with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters were damaged. Damage to an oil refining unit was also recorded.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasize that they will continue to systematically strike targets that provide Russia with military capabilities and support its aggression against Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a reminder, Russia has seen a significant decline in ammonium nitrate production following a series of strikes on chemical industry facilities, which has impacted the operations of key fertilizer manufacturers.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the successful strikes by Ukrainian defenders on major Russian energy infrastructure facilities.
The sharp intensification of Ukrainian strikes deep into the territory of the Russian Federation has led to a fuel crisis, a sharp drop in the stock market, and growing panic among the Russian elite.
