Defense forces struck Russian Su-57 and Su-34 aircraft at an airfield in the Chelyabinsk region
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Command announced that it had struck Russian aircraft on Russian territory as part of efforts to reduce the enemy's ability to launch attacks on Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Telegram.
According to the information provided, on April 25, 2026, several Su-57 fighters and a Su-34 fighter-bomber were struck at the Shagol airfield in the Chelyabinsk region.
The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
It is noted that the targets were located approximately 1,700 km from Ukraine’s state border.
Following drone attacks on oil refineries and Transneft facilities, Perm may face large-scale environmental consequences similar to those already recorded in Tuapse. There, “oil rains” and rising levels of hazardous substances in the air were previously observed.
