Fourth strike on the Tuapse Oil Refinery in Russia confirmed (video)

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked the Tuapse Oil Refinery for the fourth time in the past two weeks. A massive fire broke out on the refinery’s premises following a series of explosions.

This was reported on May 1 by the SBU and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of May 1, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck infrastructure at the Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation.

The drone strike caused a fire involving a mixture of oil and fuel in the tanks.

According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, this is the fourth attack on the facility in the past two weeks.

According to Ukrainian intelligence agencies, such special operations reduce Russia’s ability to continue the war against Ukraine.

“The Security Service continues to inflict serious damage on the Russian economy by targeting facilities that provide oil-dollar revenues to its budget,” the SBU emphasized.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces also struck facilities at the "Permsky" oil refinery in the Perm region of the Russian Federation.

Damage to the AVT-4 primary oil refining unit was confirmed there, followed by a fire on the plant’s premises.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders successfully struck a Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system, ammunition depots, and enemy drone control centers.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at stopping the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff emphasized as the goal of such operations.

As a reminder, drones attacked Tuapse again, causing fires at the oil refinery and in the port.

In Tuapse, refinery capacity has decreased following the latest attack.

Residents of the Russian city of Tuapse are increasingly complaining about the unbearable living conditions in the frontline city. The once-popular resort has turned into a zone of environmental disaster and constant danger due to regular explosions at local industrial facilities.

In Tuapse, Russia, the city beach was covered with a new layer of pebbles while cleaning up the aftermath of an oil spill. At the same time, local residents and environmentalists claim that traces of fuel oil are still visible near the water and that a full cleanup has not taken place.
