Defense forces shot down and neutralized 79 enemy drones during a nighttime attack
On the night of June 19 (starting at 6:00 p.m. on June 18), Russian forces launched a massive attack, deploying 90 Shahed-type strike UAVs, as well as decoy drones of various types, from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian defense forces shot down or neutralized 79 aerial targets.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 79 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and Banderol types, as well as other types of drones, in the north, south, and east of the country.
Nine strike UAVs were recorded striking eight locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at eight locations.
The attack is ongoing, and enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Please follow safety guidelines, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
