Syrsky held a meeting with airborne assault units regarding drones and training

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi discussed the needs, challenges, and assessment of the situation on the front lines with sergeants and soldiers from airborne assault and assault units. Particular attention was paid to countering drones and military training.

He reported this on Facebook.

Syrskyi noted that he held a meeting with sergeants and soldiers from airborne assault and assault units.

According to him, "we discussed important matters: the needs of service members, challenges, their perspective on the front lines, logistical support, and many other issues that aren’t always visible from the office."

"The most important thing in the Defense Forces is the people. The task of commanders and superiors is not only to set a task and demand its fulfillment, but, above all, to provide for, train, and save the lives of their soldiers. This must work through mutual respect between commander and subordinate. And this is precisely what fundamentally distinguishes the Ukrainian military from the Russian occupation army," Syrskyi emphasized.

During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that he heard directly from sergeants and soldiers their feedback on service, their views on battlefield operations, and options for countering enemy UAVs. They discussed issues related to the training of military personnel, especially new recruits, the cohesion of military units, and more.

"We agreed to meet again in the near future to discuss the progress of implementing the proposed ideas and the status of resolving outstanding issues," the Commander-in-Chief added.

Ukrainian troops are being trained to combat enemy drones.

Also, on the night of April 4, Russia attacked Ukraine with nearly three hundred drones. Air defense forces shot down 260 of them. At the same time, hits and falling debris were recorded in several regions.

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and 25 others were wounded in Russian attacks over the past 24 hours. Kherson and dozens of settlements in the region were targeted.
