Special Operations Forces struck a strategic Russian oil pipeline hub 500 km from the border with Ukraine

On the night of June 7–8, units of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and fuel infrastructure targets in Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to the Special Operations Forces, drones from the Deep-strike units struck the Krasny Yar production and dispatch station in the Volgograd region. The attack on the facility, which belongs to the state-owned company Transneft, caused a fire.

The station is a key hub for two main oil pipelines used to transport oil to the Volgograd oil refinery and the “Sheshkharis” export terminal in Novorossiysk. The facility is located more than 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Ukrainian drone operators also struck a radar station on the territory of a Russian Air Force and Air Defense military unit in the village of Kabardinka near Novorossiysk. The radar station provided airspace control over the Black Sea coastal zone.

In addition, Middle-strike units of the Special Operations Forces struck the Atan oil depot in the village of Gvardeyskoye near Simferopol in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The facility is used for the accumulation, storage, and transshipment of fuel and has 17 tanks of various types.

The Special Operations Forces emphasized that they continue to strike the enemy’s oil refining and logistics infrastructure with the aim of reducing its ability to wage war against Ukraine.

On the night of June 5, strike drones struck a number of facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In Luhansk, a massive fire broke out at an oil depot following the attack; explosions and strikes were also reported in the areas of Donetsk, Vuhlehirsk, and Mariupol.

On June 3 and during the night of June 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to the Russian aggressor.
