The Commercial Court of Donetsk Oblast ruled in favor of Energo-Industry LLC, a company engaged in the production of "green" energy.
The court ordered Russia to pay over 5.5 million hryvnias in damages resulting from the war and the destruction of a solar power plant in Bakhmut.
The company filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for financial losses related to the destruction and loss of production capacity in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast.
Prior to the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Energo-Industri LLC was actively operating in the renewable energy sector. The company operated a solar power plant (SPP) in Bakhmut and generated and sold green electricity to Ukraine’s power grid under the “green” tariff.

The SPP’s technological equipment and other property remained in the city, which subsequently became a zone of active hostilities and suffered extensive destruction.
