The 12th Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied reports of a possible Russian offensive from Belarus
The 12th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that it is currently not observing any Russian military activity in its sector of the front that could indicate preparations for an offensive from Belarusian territory.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military continues to strengthen its defenses in the northern sector. In particular, they are reinforcing fortifications and installing additional engineering barriers.
“As of now, no enemy activity indicating a possible offensive has been observed in the area of responsibility of the 12th Army Corps’ units. However, we emphasize that the war is ongoing, so the Ukrainian Defense Forces must be prepared for various scenarios,” he noted.
According to Vukolov, measures to strengthen defenses in this sector are being carried out throughout 2026. In particular, fortifications are being expanded and reinforced, and shelters for personnel have been prepared for winter. Necessary work has also been carried out to replace or reinforce elements that may have been damaged over time.
“Building fortifications and installing engineering barriers is work that takes time and cannot be completed in a single day,” he added.
At the same time, Vukolov reported that a combined system of engineering barriers has been installed along the entire stretch of the border. This includes kilometers of “Yegosa”-type barbed wire and low-visibility obstacles. In the event of a potential offensive, this will allow us to delay the enemy, and during that time, units of the Ukrainian brigades will inflict fire damage on the enemy.
“It goes without saying, but let us remind you that the territory adjacent to the border with the Republic of Belarus is mined. The logistics routes within our area of responsibility are protected by anti-drone defenses,” assured the head of the communications department of the 12th Army Corps.
Vukolov also emphasized that the personnel of the units serving in the border area undergo regular combat training.
“Our servicemen are on full combat alert,” he stressed.

As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR), and the National Police have uncovered 11 more schemes to evade mobilization in various regions of Ukraine.
On the night of July 29, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a number of military and infrastructure targets on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Among the targets struck were the Ryazan Oil Refinery, a base for Russian Black Sea Fleet vessels, a radar station, and military logistics facilities.
