Three buildings in Brovary were damaged by falling debris from Russian UAVs

In the city of Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, two private residential buildings and an industrial facility were damaged by debris from downed Russian drones.

Mayor Ihor Sapozhko reported this on Telegram.

The latest airstrike by the occupying forces resulted in no casualties or serious injuries among the local population.

Emergency services and representatives of the community’s utility companies responded promptly at the scene.

According to preliminary data from the military, the enemy used the latest models of cheap drones to strike the Kyiv region, attempting to confuse the Ukrainian air defense system.

The mayor specified the location of the incident and identified the likely model of the downed aerial attack vehicles.

“During the latest air raid alert, debris from a UAV, likely of the ‘Gerbera’ type, was observed falling in the Mechanizatoriv Lane area,” Sapozhko noted.

The blast wave and metal debris caused property damage to the city’s residential area, but the extent of the damage was minimal.

According to him, there were no casualties or significant damage. Experts have already conducted an initial survey of the area to document the consequences of the enemy airstrike.

The properties of Brovary residents sustained mostly cosmetic damage and require prompt repair of windows and roofing structures. Two houses sustained minor damage from falling debris.

In one, the roof, facade wall, and fence were damaged; in the other, a single window was damaged. Owners of damaged property will receive the necessary construction assistance from local authorities.

On May 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces killed and wounded 1,170 Russian occupiers. The enemy’s total losses in the war have reached 1,348,790 personnel.

Prior to this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,020 Russian soldiers on the front lines over the past 24 hours.

The occupiers complain that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are cutting off the land corridor to Crimea with drones.
