Power outage in part of Chernihiv after drone strike
On the evening of Tuesday, December 23, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv with a drone. The strike damaged an energy infrastructure facility, leaving part of the city without electricity.
This was reported by the press service of the Chernihiv City Council and the company Chernihivoblenergo.
“An enemy drone strike was recorded within the city. A critical infrastructure facility was hit,” the City Council said in a statement.
At the same time, Chernihivoblenergo reported that the enemy shelling damaged an important energy facility in the Chernihiv district, resulting in a power outage in part of the city of Chernihiv.
“We ask residents to remain calm and follow personal safety measures. As soon as the security situation allows, power engineers will begin emergency restoration work,” the company stated.
According to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, the enemy attacked a critical infrastructure facility in the city.
It is also recalled that drone attacks in the Sumy region caused power outages, and Russian forces additionally attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with FPV drones and artillery.
