In Kherson, a Russian drone struck a residential building, injuring a 15-year-old teenager
A minor was injured in Kherson as a result of yet another attack by a Russian drone.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, on May 16, 2026, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Russian forces launched a drone strike on a residential building. A 15-year-old boy was inside at the time of the attack and sustained injuries.
The victim was promptly taken to a hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care.
The prosecutor’s office noted that a pre-trial investigation into the incident has already been launched under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crime).
Law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances of the attack.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 46 strikes on the Chernihiv region, resulting in injuries to a civilian woman.
Since Friday evening, the Russian army has carried out more than 20 attacks on three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in at least one casualty.
On May 15, a Russian drone attacked the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum in the Kharkiv region. The strike damaged the protective shelter of the site, which is under UNESCO protection.
Russian troops struck a facility belonging to one of the structural units of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo in the Zaporizhzhia district. The attack damaged service vehicles.
