On the night of March 2, Ukrainian drones struck the "Rossiyskaya" compressor station in Russia's Krasnodar Krai in an effort to halt gas supplies via the "TurkStream" pipeline.
This was reported by Gazprom’s press service.
According to the report, the attack lasted from 12:40 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. in the village of Gai-Kodzor. Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down three Ukrainian aircraft-type drones. According to Gazprom, the strategic facility sustained no damage.
A report from the Russian Ministry of Defense states that on the night of March 2, Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down 147 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones, some of them over the Krasnodar Krai, though the exact number is not specified.
At the time of publication, Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev had not commented on the situation, nor had the Russian central government.
The "Russkaya" compressor station supplies Russian gas via the "Turkish Stream" pipeline to Turkey and countries in Southeast Europe. Since the Kremlin is directing gas export revenues toward the war against Ukraine, the station is a legitimate military target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ukrainian drones have previously attacked this facility, notably in January 2025 and March 2026.
On the night of April 2, a massive fire broke out at an oil refinery in the Russian city of Ufa following a drone attack.
According to analysis of photos and videos from local residents, the Bashneft-Novoyl plant, which is part of Rosneft, was hit. The facility specializes in the production of high-octane gasoline, motor and industrial lubricants, aviation and jet fuel, diesel, bitumen, and other petroleum products.
