The Kerch Bridge in Crimea was closed twice due to explosions

On the night of July 31, the Russian occupation authorities suspended traffic on the Kerch Bridge twice following reports of explosions in the temporarily occupied Crimea. An air raid alert was issued in Sevastopol, and the Russian side stated that air defense systems had been activated in response to a drone attack.

This was reported by Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed “governor” of Sevastopol.

The first reports of traffic restrictions on the illegally constructed Kerch Bridge appeared early in the night:

  • 12:29 a.m. (Kyiv time) – The occupiers announced the first temporary closure of traffic on the Crimean Bridge. At the same time, posts began appearing in local social media groups reporting explosions in various parts of the peninsula, particularly in Sevastopol.
  • 03:00 – Vehicle traffic across the bridge resumed, and an all-clear was announced in Sevastopol.
  • 03:45 – The occupying authorities were again forced to close the bridge due to a threat. The second closure lasted until 04:24.

The so-called “governor” of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, reported on social media about the threat of drone attacks and announced that “air defense systems” were allegedly repelling an air attack on the city.

As a reminder, the Russian Federation’s military suffered 1,310 casualties over the past 24 hours, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The occupiers attacked Kostiantynivka with incendiary munitions and caused a rain of phosphorus.
