Video: Explosions were heard in the Moscow Region

On October 3, a series of explosions rocked the Moscow Region amid yet another drone attack. Local residents posted videos showing the Russian air defense system in action.

The footage shows flashes in the sky and the sound of explosions. Russian air defense forces attempted to shoot down the aerial targets, but there is currently no confirmed information on the consequences of the attack.

 As of this writing, Russian authorities have not commented on the situation. It is also unknown exactly what weapons were used—missiles or drones.

Meanwhile, on the night of October 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have intercepted and destroyed 218 drones over various regions of Russia, the Moscow region, occupied Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.

As a reminder, on September 17 and during the night of September 18, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to the Russian occupation forces. Among the targets were an “Orion” UAV ground control station, a storage and launch site for attack drones, an ammunition depot, and a logistics depot belonging to the enemy.
