In Kryvyi Rih, five people were injured when a high-rise building was struck
In Kryvyi Rih, Russian troops struck a nine-story residential building, injuring five people. Among the injured are two children, who were hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis of “smoke inhalation.”
This was reported by the State Emergency Service and the head of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul.
The strike caused a fire to break out on the sixth floor of the building, blocking the exit for residents on the upper floors. Rescue workers who arrived at the scene quickly evacuated 10 people, including four children, and extinguished the fire. Currently, all emergency services are working at the site of the strike; specialists are inspecting the damaged apartments and providing psychological assistance to the victims.
This attack was part of a massive shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region carried out by the enemy on May 3. The situation in the city remains tense, and authorities are urging citizens not to ignore air raid sirens. Despite the Russian Federation’s ongoing terror against the civilian population, rescue units continue to work around the clock to minimize the consequences of the strikes. Documentation of the consequences of yet another war crime by the aggressor is ongoing. Fortunately, thanks to the professional actions of firefighters, residents of the blocked apartments were evacuated to a safe zone in time.
