The death toll from the Russian missile strike in Merefa has risen
At least six people were killed and the number of wounded rose to 23 as a result of an Iskander ballistic missile attack carried out by Russian forces on the city of Merefa on May 4 at approximately 9:40 a.m. Among the victims were two men aged 50 and 63 and three women aged 41 and 52; another man died at a medical facility.

Medical assistance is being provided to 23 victims, the youngest of whom is 19 years old. Three of the injured are in critical condition, thirteen are in moderate condition, and two people sought medical attention due to an acute stress reaction. According to Viktor Zabashta, director of the Emergency Medical Care Center, three residents died at the scene before rescuers arrived, and one person died while being transported to the hospital.
The blast wave and debris damaged at least 10 private homes, four stores, a service station, an administrative building, and a restaurant in the city. Two cars located near the epicenter of the strike were also destroyed. Law enforcement and the prosecutor’s office continue to document the consequences of yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of the Kharkiv region.
On the morning of May 4, Russian terrorists launched a missile strike on the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. Preliminary reports indicate the strike was carried out using an Iskander ballistic missile.
Nine civilians were injured as a result of a drone attack on Zaporizhzhia carried out by the aggressor country on Sunday. Among the victims is a two-year-old child, and the ages of those injured range from 2 to 67 years old.
On the afternoon of May 3, Russian troops launched missile strikes on Ukraine, resulting in several explosions being heard in Dnipro.
