Two shopping malls in Mykolaiv were closed over the course of two days due to security concerns
In Mykolaiv, two shopping and entertainment centers—City Center and “Pivdennyi Bug”—ceased operations on September 10 and 11.
City Center closed on September 10. Management cited technical reasons for the closure without specifying the exact circumstances. Meanwhile, VOVK Studio, which operates within the mall, stated that the center would likely remain closed until the end of September due to the difficult situation in the city and Russian shelling.
The temporary closure of City Center is also indicated by the absence of an up-to-date schedule for the Multiplex movie theater, which operates within the shopping center.
The following day, September 11, another Mykolaiv shopping mall—Pivdennyi Bug—ceased operations. All stores inside are closed, and a notice regarding the temporary suspension of operations has been posted at the entrance.
The administration has not yet disclosed the reasons for Pivdennyi Bug’s closure or the date of its possible reopening.
