Seven workers were killed as a result of a ballistic strike on Zaporizhstal
Russian forces launched a ballistic strike on civilian industrial sites in Zaporizhzhia. An enemy missile struck facilities at the Zaporizhstal steel mill just as employees were heading for shelter after an alarm was sounded. As a result of the attack, seven employees were killed, and another 21 people sustained injuries of varying severity.
The attack caused significant damage to power generation facilities, infrastructure, as well as the main and auxiliary facilities of the coke and blast furnace operations. Currently, operations at the steel mill have been completely halted, while other production sites are operating at reduced capacity. Specialists and municipal services are working to address the damage caused by the strikes. At Metinvest Group facilities, flags have been flown at half-mast as a sign of mourning for the fallen colleagues.
