Drones attacked the Azot chemical plant in Russia – video

On the night of June 14, unmanned aerial vehicles struck several regions of the Russian Federation, resulting in damage to a large chemical plant and railway facilities. In particular, the city of Novomoskovsk in the Tula region was targeted; following a series of explosions, a fire broke out at the Novomoskovsk Azot chemical plant.

Explosions were also heard in the Smolensk region—specifically in the city of Vyazma, a strategically important transportation hub at a railway junction, where railway infrastructure was likely targeted.

Novomoskovsk Azot is part of EuroChem and is one of the largest chemical complexes in Russia. The plant specializes in the industrial production of ammonia, methanol, nitric acid, and mineral fertilizers. The Russian military uses the facility’s capacity as a base for producing raw materials for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex. The chemical plant regularly supplies chemicals to other military enterprises directly involved in the production of ammunition and explosives.

This was reported by the monitoring channel Exilenova+.

Drones attacked the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region of Russia. Following the strikes, a massive fire broke out at the facility, which, according to local residents, was visible from various parts of the city.

A fuel shortage is expected across Russia through August.
