In Russia, mobilization orders are being issued to citizens on a massive scale
In Russia, military registration and enlistment offices have begun issuing “mobilization orders” on a massive scale, which will allow the authorities to urgently summon hundreds of thousands of men to assembly points if necessary. The inclusion of such an “order” in a military ID card obligates a citizen to report to an assembly point if mobilization is declared.
These documents are issued when men are summoned to “verify their information” and update the military registration records. Although such orders were distributed in the past, this practice became widespread in 2026. The issuance of the order itself does not mean immediate deployment to the front, but it allows the authorities to compile lists for rapid recruitment.
