In Russia, two captured Azov fighters were sentenced to 17 and 20 years in prison
On June 16, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don handed down sentences to two Ukrainian prisoners of war from the Azov battalion, sentencing them to 17 and 20 years in a penal colony.
The Russian court sentenced 29-year-old Dmytro Lebedev to 17 years in a maximum-security prison colony. He was found “guilty” under articles regarding participation in a “terrorist group” and “training in terrorism” due to his service in the Azov regiment.
Vasyl Mukhin, 45, was sentenced to 20 years in a strict-regime penal colony on similar charges. According to the Russian prosecutor’s office, he joined the regiment in 2015. He was captured in May 2022, reports Mediazona.

Cameraman Yaroslav Levytskyi was killed in the war
As a reminder, renowned anarchist artist Davyd Chychkan was killed on the front lines.
Journalist and serviceman Oleksandr Golyachenko also died in the war.
