"Oil slicks" began to appear in Tuapse following a fire at the terminal

In Tuapse, Russia (Krasnodar Krai), following a massive fire at an oil terminal, the situation in the city has been further complicated by new consequences—residues of unburned petroleum products, along with soot, have begun to settle on residential neighborhoods and vehicles.

This is according to local residents.

Severe contamination of streets and vehicles has begun to be observed in the city. A video has appeared online in which a city resident complains that her car is literally covered in oil stains.

She emotionally explains that due to the pollution, she can barely see the road while driving and cannot safely operate the vehicle, as the windshield and body are completely covered in an oil film.

The fire at the facility has been burning for several days following the drone attack, and local authorities previously urged residents to limit their time outdoors and use protective gear due to harmful air emissions.

Specialists from Rospotrebnadzor have advised residents and visitors to Tuapse to limit their time outdoors as much as possible due to the fire at the offshore oil terminal. The fire broke out following a drone attack on the night of April 19.

As a reminder, a massive fire continues at the oil terminal in the Russian city of Tuapse, which broke out after a strike by Ukrainian drones on April 16. Firefighters have been unable to fully extinguish the blaze for several days in a row.

Residents of Tuapse, Russia, are increasingly complaining about the unbearable living conditions in the frontline city. The once-popular resort has turned into an area of environmental disaster and constant danger due to regular explosions at local industrial facilities.

On the night of April 20, Ukrainian defense forces successfully attacked a number of strategic targets, including an oil refinery in Tuapse and two large amphibious assault ships in occupied Sevastopol
