In Zaporizhzhia, more than 45,000 customers were left without power due to an attack by Russia
In Zaporizhzhia, more than 45,000 customers lost power as a result of a Russian attack. The cause was damage to a power line caused by a strike drone. This was reported on August 3 by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to him, after the strike, utility workers quickly restored power to some customers. Within the first 30 minutes after the attack, power was restored to some customers.
As of now, approximately 23,000 customers remain without power. Specialists are continuing emergency repair work and addressing the aftermath of the Russian strike.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration reported this on Telegram.
As a reminder, as of the morning of August 3, new power outages were reported in six regions of Ukraine due to Russian shelling. This was reported by the National Electricity System Operator “Ukrenergo.”
Search and rescue operations following the Russian strike with guided bombs on Zaporizhzhia on August 3 have concluded. One person was killed in the attack, 31 others were injured, and three of the injured remain in critical condition.
The temporarily occupied cities of Alchevsk and Perevalsk in Luhansk Oblast have been left without centralized water supply due to damage to the water pipeline. The occupying authorities have not indicated when water service will be restored.
