The Ukrainian Armed Forces have denied rumors of an encirclement near Kostiantynivka
Ukrainian military officials have stated that Defense Forces units are not surrounded by Russian troops in the Kostiantynivka area, despite the difficult situation around the city.
This was reported by the commander of the 19th Army Corps, Oleksandr Bakulin. According to him, Russian occupiers continue to launch assaults with small infantry groups, attempting to infiltrate between Ukrainian positions. They also use motorcycles to move quickly.
At the same time, Bakulin emphasized that Ukrainian defenders are effectively thwarting the enemy’s offensive operations, so the Russians have not achieved any significant success.
The military official also noted that approximately 130 occupiers have been spotted in the Kostiantynivka area, but the Defense Forces are regularly striking their concentrations.
Earlier, Serhiy Yaryi, commander of the 28th Mechanized Brigade’s unmanned systems battalion, stated that Kostiantynivka is under a partial encirclement by Russian forces.
