Ukrainian military strikes on oil facilities threaten Russian exports — The Telegraph

Attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian oil infrastructure could seriously undermine the Kremlin’s ability to export oil.

The Telegraph reports this.

Ukraine has intensified strikes on key energy facilities in an effort to reduce Moscow’s revenue from oil exports amid rising prices and the easing of sanctions.

In particular, major export hubs on the Baltic Sea—Ust-Luga and Primorsk—have come under attack.

The strikes also hit oil refining centers, notably in Kirishi, Yaroslavl, Moscow, and Ryazan, which could force Russia to reduce supply volumes.

Analysts note that this is one of the most serious threats to Russian oil exports since the start of the full-scale war.

The oil and gas sector accounts for about 30% of the Russian federal budget’s revenue, so such strikes have a strategic impact.

Experts also highlight the scale, precision, and regularity of the attacks, which amplify their impact.

As a reminder, drones attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad region.

Drones also attacked the Saratov region, where more than 60 explosions were heard.
