Ukrainian drones control approaches to Pokrovsk, logistics near Myrnohrad currently complicated
Units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine operating within the area of responsibility of the Operational Group “East” are successfully containing the enemy’s advance and repelled 79 Russian attacks over the past day.
This was reported by the press centre of Operational Group “East”.
According to the statement, Ukrainian units continue active operations in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration, where the enemy is suffering significant losses.
Situation on the Pokrovsk axis
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 43 assault actions by the aggressor near the settlements of Pankivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novoserhiivka, and towards Filiia.
Yesterday on this axis, Ukrainian forces neutralised 130 occupiers, 70 of them irreversibly. They destroyed 11 vehiclesand four UAV control antennas. In addition, a tank, three vehicles, four UAV control points, and 14 personnel shelters were hit.
According to Operational Group “East”, Ukrainian units continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. In the central part of the city, Ukrainian forces are blocking enemy advances. Search-and-assault operations and the elimination of enemy forces in urban areas are ongoing.
All approaches to the city are under the control of Ukrainian drones. A significant number of forces and assets are also concentrated near the city, including units of unmanned systems and specialised drone brigades and regiments conducting defensive operations.
In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and eliminating enemy forces on the approaches to the city. To contain the enemy, the city’s defence has been reinforced with additional forces and assets.
“Logistics remain complicated. Measures are being taken to expand logistical corridors to Myrnohrad in order to strengthen our supply capabilities,” the statement said.
Overall, within the area of responsibility of Operational Group “East”, the enemy continues to suffer the heaviest losses, with 473 occupiers eliminated over the past day.
In addition, 1,150 UAVs of various types and 89 units of other weapons and equipment, including two tanks, were destroyed.
The Defence Forces are focusing not only on eliminating enemy infantry but also on drone operators. Over the past day, 33 Russian UAV crews were hit.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Ukrainian forces had taken control of all access routes to Pokrovsk.
