Ukrainian defenders eliminated a Russian footballer-occupier from the Volgograd region

Ukrainian defense forces have killed Russian occupier Alexander Tokarev, who played amateur soccer before joining the war.

The 40-year-old Tokarev played for several soccer clubs in the Volgograd region. He began his athletic career in 2006 with the Zhirnovsk club “Naftovik.” He later played for the teams “Urozhay” from Yelana, “Burovik” from Zhirnovsk, “Tekstilnik” from Ocheretinsky, and “Exclusive” from the city of Volzhsky.

According to Russian sources, after the occupier was killed, he left behind two sons and a wife.

However, Russian sources have not yet disclosed the date, location, or circumstances of Tokarev’s death in the war against Ukraine.

A controversy erupted on Russian social media following the report of the occupier’s death. The post included the bank card number of the deceased’s wife and a call to provide financial assistance to his family.

This fundraising effort drew criticism from some users. One commenter questioned the need for the fundraiser, stating:

“Doesn’t the Ministry of Defense help anymore? Here we go… Let’s chip in… Who would chip in for us? We have children too, etc. What was he fighting for? Can’t they even bury him or provide state assistance to the family? I’d be happy to help if I had the means—we’re in the same boat, the user wrote.

This story once again highlights the problems with social support for the families of Russian military personnel, which even Russian citizens themselves are increasingly speaking about openly.

This is reported by Russian media.

Prior to this, Ukrainian forces killed Russian occupier Vsevolod Tarasov on the front lines; he held the title of Russian champion among individuals with intellectual disabilities

The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated Russian actor Pavel Chernyavsky, who fought against Ukraine

A Russian man attacked Russian theater and film actor Artur Smolyaninov in Germany; Smolyaninov had been added to Russia’s list of “terrorists and extremists” for condemning the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. An unknown individual used profanity against the actor and threatened to “tear him to pieces” when he arrives in Russia.

Soviet and Russian actress and singer Alla Pugacheva stood by her husband, Maxim Galkin, and asked the Russian authorities to add her to the list of “foreign agents.”
