Ukrainian “General Chereshnia AIR” drone destroys Russia’s newest UAV
The Ukrainian interceptor drone “General Chereshnia AIR” has destroyed one of Russia’s newest and rarest reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles — the “Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg.”
Footage of the interception was published by the manufacturer General Chereshnia on its Facebook page.
The successful aerial interception was carried out by the “Hrim” crew of the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade “Zaporizka Sich.”
The skilled work of the artillerymen made it possible to eliminate the enemy’s expensive equipment without using scarce air defense missiles.
The “Knyaz Veshchiy Oleg” is promoted by Russia’s military-industrial complex as its most advanced model for deep aerial reconnaissance. The UAV is capable of detecting targets at a distance of 40–45 kilometers from the line of contact.
UAV specifications:
- Wingspan: 2.8 m
- Length: 0.82 m
- Weight: 11 kg
- Maximum speed: 130 km/h
- Service ceiling: 3,000

A key feature of the drone is its ability to operate without satellite navigation and the presence of a secure communication channel, providing high resistance to electronic warfare (EW) systems.
The destruction of a reconnaissance UAV of this class confirms the growing effectiveness of Ukrainian interceptor drones. The use of such systems allows the Defense Forces to effectively “blind” the enemy while conserving expensive surface-to-air missile ammunition.
Ukrainian defenders have also halted a Russian offensive near Huliaipole, according to ABC.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters eliminated nearly 900 occupiers and more than 500 drones.
