A Ukrainian pilot shot down two "Shaheds" from a distance of 500 km
A pilot from the Bulava unit, call sign “Hulk,” shot down two Russian Shahed-type attack drones while located 500 kilometers away from them. The Russian military drones were taken down by Sting-type interceptors.
This was reported by the defense company “Wild Hornets.”
The Russian “Shaheds” were struck from a distance of 500 kilometers by Roman, a pilot from the Bulava unit with the call sign Hulk.
“This is the first time in the world that someone has attempted to shoot down not one, but two Shaheds from such a distance from the launch point,” the company wrote.
According to the manufacturer, the “Shahed” was successfully hit by an interceptor drone at a distance of 500 kilometers thanks to Hornet Vision Ctrl technology. “Wild Hornets” unveiled the system in late March of this year and explained that it would allow interceptors to be controlled from hundreds of kilometers away.
“Hornet Vision Ctrl underwent combat testing on the front lines for several months, and we have seen effective results from its use. We have already begun the serial deployment of Hornet Vision Ctrl technology, and very soon a large number of units will be sent to the front. This will allow effective crews to control significantly larger sections of the front: up to 100 kilometers instead of 20,” the company explained at the time.
Launch sites for “Shaheds” have been destroyed in two regions of Russia.
Media reported on the extent of damage to the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh.
The occupiers have begun using “Shaheds” as carriers for FPV drones.
