Air defense systems were activated in Kyiv on the night of September 21
At 3:40 a.m., a drone alert was issued in the capital. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of a threat from enemy drones, and air defense systems were activated in Kyiv.
This was the first alert of the new day. The all-clear was declared in Kyiv at 4:30 a.m.

As a result of Russian attacks on September 20 in the Zhytomyr region, a fire broke out at a transportation infrastructure facility, and dry grass also caught fire.
The death toll from Russian attacks in the Kyiv region has risen to four. A child who was injured during a strike on the Vyshhorod district died in the hospital. Among the dead are three children and a woman.
Due to the fires in the Kyiv region, smoke and the smell of burning may be present in the capital.
