The weather has forced the Russians to slow down, but the enemy is preparing for a new infiltration
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops are showing almost no activity due to unfavorable weather conditions. At the same time, the enemy is preparing for new infiltration attempts.
According to him, there is currently no significant activity by Russian troops in the brigade’s area of responsibility in the Oleksandrivka sector. One reason may be the weather conditions, which are hampering the enemy’s attempts to infiltrate.
“We are recording only isolated attempts by small groups to advance,” Kravtsov noted.
At the same time, he said, the current weather allows Ukrainian troops to conduct surveillance more effectively, detect the enemy early on as they approach, and strike at their gathering points.
“We understand that as the weather changes, the enemy may try to step up its infiltration efforts, so we are already preparing for various scenarios and strengthening all available surveillance and strike capabilities,” said the head of the communications department.
Mining remains a separate issue. Russian troops mine routes not only during their retreat but constantly, particularly in the rear and in active combat zones.
According to Kravtsov, this means that every route must be inspected, cleared of mines, and monitored, which slows down movement and complicates the rapid establishment of logistics.
“As for demining equipment, there is never enough of it. The intensity of mine-laying is very high, so the need for such equipment is constant,” he emphasized.
The military constantly monitors routes, detects mines, and destroys the means by which the enemy attempts to control and attack them.
At the same time, no significant changes in the composition or position of Russian troops in the 82nd Brigade’s area of responsibility have been recorded so far. According to Kravtsov, there are also no signs of a significant withdrawal of enemy units.
“The enemy remains the same, and we continue to systematically destroy them,” he concluded.
