Ukrainian troops delivered 4 metric tons of food to the occupied town of Oleshky using drones

The Ukrainian military used drones to deliver about 4 metric tons of food to residents of the occupied town of Oleshky. The humanitarian aid was distributed among 100 designated locations in the town.

 

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

“In occupied Oleshky, the Russians are holding about 2,000 of our people hostage, including nearly 50 children. They are forced to survive without food, electricity, or water,” the head of the Regional State Administration emphasized.

According to him, the occupiers have effectively prevented local residents from leaving the city. Therefore, the Ukrainian side is attempting to deliver essential supplies directly to Oleshky.

Since March, the Ukrainian military, in cooperation with the Kherson Regional State Administration, has been systematically delivering food across the Dnipro River using drones.

In particular, a unit of the 11th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and fighters from the 34th Separate Marine Brigade “Borysfen” are involved in this effort.

One of the largest such operations took place recently. The Ukrainian military managed to deliver approximately 4,000 kilograms of food to 100 designated locations in Oleshky at once.

The operation involved the 30th Marine Corps Corps, the “Grim” tactical group, the 34th Marine Brigade “Borysfen,” the “Bolgarichi” unit of the 11th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 34th Regiment of the National Guard, and the 79th Border Guard Detachment.

Prokudin noted that Russian troops are obstructing the delivery of aid. In particular, they are shooting down drones carrying food.

He also said that the occupiers are confiscating or reselling food intended for civilians, particularly children and the elderly.

Residents of Oleshky may be detained for receiving humanitarian aid.

“For receiving humanitarian aid packages, the occupiers are detaining residents of Oleshky, throwing them ‘into the basement,’ brutally beating them, and resorting to violence,” Prokudin emphasized.

The head of the Kherson Regional State Administration called the blocking of humanitarian aid and the creation of conditions leading to starvation among the civilian population war crimes.

“Everyone involved in these actions will face inevitable consequences,” he concluded.

As a reminder, Russia attacked 19 settlements in the Kherson region over the past 24 hours.

Russia also carried out 712 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.

A private home was damaged as a result of a nighttime Russian attack on the Rivne region.

There were fatalities and injuries as a result of the Russian attack on the Kyiv region.
