One person was injured as a result of renewed shelling of Balakliya
In Balakliya, Kharkiv Oblast, a second round of Russian shelling of the city center on August 12 resulted in one person being wounded. Damage to residential infrastructure was also reported.
This was reported on Telegram by Vitaliy Karabanov, head of the Balakliya Municipal Administration.
“As a result of another round of enemy shelling of the central part of our city, one person was reportedly injured. They are receiving all necessary medical care. Three private homes were damaged: one of them was completely destroyed, and the other two were significantly damaged. A fire broke out in one of the private homes after it was hit,” Karabanov reported.
According to him, an apartment building that was damaged during the morning shelling has been damaged again.
Damage to other private homes has also been reported. The number of affected homes and the extent of the damage are currently being assessed.



The head of the Military Administration noted that relevant services are working at the scene, assisting people, and addressing the consequences of the enemy attack.
As a reminder, explosions were heard in Kyiv amid an attack by rocket-powered drones.
In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 14 others were wounded over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian aggression.
In the Mykolaiv region, two people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of attacks by Russian drones.
In the Poltava region, one of the industrial facilities caught fire as a result of Russian shelling.
In addition, since the evening of August 11, Russian troops have attacked four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 20 times with drones and a missile. A 57-year-old man was injured in the strikes.
On the night of August 11–12, Russian occupation forces struck Zaporizhzhia. The attack damaged one of the facilities belonging to the “Epicenter” chain.
