In Pskov region, drones attacked an oil depot in Velikiye Luki

On the night of February 19, Pskov region was subjected to an attack by unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles. In the city of Velikiye Luki, an oil depot caught fire as a result of the strikes.

This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.

With the start of the new day, videos and photos began spreading on social media which allegedly show the strike on the oil depot in Velikiye Luki.

At the same time, the governor of the region, Mikhail Vedernikov, stated that unidentified drones had allegedly attacked civilian infrastructure facilities.

“An unmanned aerial vehicle attack is underway against civilian infrastructure facilities in the city of Velikiye Luki. Please do not approach windows. If you are outside, take shelter in the nearest building or premises,” his message said.

Later, even more footage of the fire appeared online. According to Vedernikov, a tank containing petroleum products caught fire in Pskov region.

Monitoring channels suggested that the affected facility may be linked to the storage and transportation of petroleum products. Public pages emphasize that, given the importance of fuel for logistics, this facility may have strategic significance.

It is also noted that an important railway connection for Russian infrastructure is located nearby, which may affect the transportation of resources.
