Operatives from the 3rd Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Special Operations Forces neutralized a Russian soldier during a combat mission after he opened fire in response to an offer to surrender.
Before the assault, Ukrainian special forces cordoned off the area of operations, cutting off the enemy’s routes of approach and retreat. Using drones, they located the occupiers’ hiding places and began a sweep of the area.
While searching one of the courtyards, the soldiers encountered a Russian soldier. After refusing to surrender his weapon, he opened fire, posing a threat to the group, and was subsequently neutralized. Upon completing the operation, the soldiers withdrew due to the risk of enemy drone and artillery strikes.
