Video: Drones Attacked an Ozon Chemical Plant and Warehouses in Bashkortostan
On the night of August 27, drones attacked Sterlitamak in Bashkortostan. According to monitoring channels, the drones also struck Ozon logistics centers in Ufa and Orenburg.
Local residents reported hearing explosions in Sterlitamak. The drone alert in the city was lifted around 8:00 a.m. local time. It had been in effect for about five hours.
The head of Bashkortostan, Radii Khabirov, has not yet commented on the attack.
Sterlitamak is home to the Roskhim petrochemical plant, which produces, among other things, jet fuel, synthetic rubbers, and chemical additives. The facility was already the target of a drone attack in April.

Videos showing plumes of smoke rising above the city have appeared online. However, it is currently unknown whether the drones struck the factory grounds directly. Judging by the released footage, at least one source of smoke is located in the central part of Sterlitamak, rather than in the industrial zone.
Residents of Ufa also reported hearing explosions; there, airport operations were temporarily restricted due to the threat posed by UAVs.
Ozon’s press service confirmed that a drone attacked the company’s logistics center in Ufa. Employees were evacuated; there are no reports of casualties.

According to the company, the logistics center sustained minor damage. It was temporarily closed, and the acceptance of shipments from sellers was suspended. The goods were redirected to other facilities operated by the marketplace.
Another Ozon logistics center was attacked in Orenburg. The facility subsequently resumed operations.
Amid the attacks, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had intercepted 267 drones on the night of August 26–27.
According to the Russian ministry, the drones were shot down over 12 regions of Russia and the occupied Crimea.
At the same time, information about the consequences of the attack in Sterlitamak and possible damage to industrial facilities requires further confirmation.

Since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainian drones and long-range missiles have damaged at least 28 of approximately 48 Russian oil refineries, according to estimates by French OSINT analyst Clément Molen. In total, he recorded 81 strikes on refineries, with 17 of Russia’s 20 largest refineries having been attacked.
The NORSI refinery (Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez), which ranks fourth in oil refining capacity and second in gasoline production in Russia, suspended operations following an attack by Ukrainian drones.
In addition, Russia has reached an agreement with Kazakhstan to process Russian oil at the local “Kondensat” refinery amid fuel shortages and reduced operations at its own oil refineries. Up to 70% of the gasoline and diesel fuel produced is planned to be returned to Russia, while the remainder will remain on the Kazakh market.
