Video: Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging a shopping center and residential buildings
On the night of September 21, Russian troops launched several strikes on Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, two high-rise buildings, a shopping center, an educational institution, and a university building were damaged, and fires broke out in the city.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to Fedorov, the enemy first targeted a high-rise residential building in Zaporizhzhia. A 52-year-old man was injured and suffered burns over his body. Medical personnel are providing all necessary care.
In addition, emergency services evacuated an elderly woman from a building damaged by the enemy attack. Due to the impact of the strike, she was unable to leave her apartment on her own. Rescuers used specialized equipment to remove the woman from the balcony.
Later, the occupiers struck a shopping center in the city, where a fire broke out as a result of the hit.
Later, the head of the Regional Military Administration clarified the summary report: one person was injured; two high-rise buildings, an educational institution, and a shopping center sustained damage; and fires broke out in several locations.
In addition, the occupiers struck one of the buildings of a higher education institution in Zaporizhzhia. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.
“Attacks on educational institutions where our youth study are yet another proof of the enemy’s blatant cynicism,” Fedorov noted.
As a result of Russian attacks on September 20 in the Zhytomyr region, a fire broke out at a transportation infrastructure facility, and dry grass also caught fire.
The death toll from Russian attacks in the Kyiv region has risen to four. A child who was injured during a strike on the Vyshhorod district died in the hospital. Among the dead are three children and a woman.
Due to the fires in the Kyiv region, the capital may experience smoke and the smell of burning.
