Video: In Kostiantynivka, a Russian soldier was planning to blow up a building while posing as a civilian
Russian military personnel may have used a soldier dressed in civilian clothing to carry out the demolition of a building in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast. The soldier was supposed to operate under the guise of a civilian.
A video of the building’s demolition was published by the Telegram channel UkrDailyUpdate after the original video was removed from the “Bat Rosana” channel of the 4th Mechanized Brigade.
The video shows a soldier in civilian clothing throwing a bag containing a TM-62 anti-tank mine into the building, after which a Russian drone captures the explosion.
The original recording was subsequently deleted, but a copy remains. It shows Russian servicemen blowing up buildings in Kostiantynivka.
In one of the clips, the drone captured a soldier in civilian clothing. The building is located at coordinates 48.500083, 37.701068.

International humanitarian law requires combatants to adhere to the principle of distinguishing between military personnel and the civilian population.
Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions stipulates that combatants must distinguish themselves from civilians during hostilities, specifically by openly carrying their weapons during combat engagements and at the moment when the enemy can see them while deploying prior to an attack.
The use of civilian clothing to conceal military affiliation during an attack may violate the norms of international humanitarian law.
At the same time, the Russian army has repeatedly violated the norms of international humanitarian law throughout the full-scale invasion, both during combat operations and in its treatment of prisoners of war and civilians.
On August 11, Russian troops killed one resident of the Donetsk region and wounded 13 others.
In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 14 others were wounded over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian aggression.
In the Mykolaiv region, two people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of attacks by Russian drones.
In the Poltava region, one industrial facility caught fire as a result of Russian shelling.
