Video: Oil refinery catches fire in Samara Oblast following a drone attack
On the night of June 10, drones attacked the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery in Russia’s Samara Region. The strikes triggered a massive fire at the facility, which, according to local residents, was visible from various parts of the city.
Explosions were heard over Novokuybyshevsk at night amid an air raid alert in the Samara region. According to local sources, the fire broke out directly on the plant’s industrial site.
A column of thick black smoke rose above the city, visible from several kilometers away. Official representatives of the region have not commented on the attack.
The plant was founded in 1951—it became one of the first Soviet enterprises to produce jet fuel and lubricants for rocket technology. It is currently part of the Rosneft Group and is the largest oil refinery in the company’s Samara division, with a capacity of 8.8 million tons of oil per year.
The plant produces fuel for all modes of transport: road, air, rail, river, and sea. The plant is one of the main suppliers of premium-grade RT jet fuel, the most in-demand type in Russia. It also produces raw materials for explosives: benzene, phenol, acetone, and synthetic alcohol.

Mykolaiv came under attack again by Russian drones, which struck the city and the region. An administrative building was damaged as a result of the shelling, but there were no casualties. The enemy also repeatedly attacked communities in the region with FPV drones and artillery.
The Zaporizhzhia region endured one of the most intense attacks in recent times, as Russian troops launched hundreds of strikes on dozens of settlements. One man was killed and two others were wounded as a result of the shelling. Both frontline communities and areas further inland came under fire.
