Troops from the aggressor state, the Russian Federation, struck a facility in Pavlohrad with a cruise missile: three people were killed
On July 23, troops of the aggressor state, the Russian Federation, launched a guided airstrike on a food processing plant in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Three people were killed and 19 others were wounded, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Head Oleksandr Hanzha, the regional prosecutor’s office, and Regional Council Chairman Mykola Lukashuk.
According to the investigation, the strike on the civilian facility occurred around 11:20 a.m. A fire broke out at the facility. “The enemy struck Pavlohrad. A food processing plant was damaged. A fire broke out there,” Ganza said.
Initially, the Regional State Administration reported ten injured; later, the prosecutor’s office revised the number of casualties to 13. Ganza subsequently stated that the number of injured had risen to 19. Among them is a two-year-old girl; all of the injured are in the hospital.
Law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal investigation into a war crime under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Prosecutors are documenting the consequences of the strike; final figures are still being determined.
Lukashuk noted that Pavlohrad is increasingly becoming a frontline city. According to him, this means less time to react and greater danger for people. On July 20, Russian troops attacked Pavlohrad with a KAB bomb for the first time: a residential building was hit, killing two people and wounding 15 others.
