On the night of April 20, Russian occupiers carried out a targeted assassination attempt on Sergei Beskrestnov, a renowned expert in electronic warfare and an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense.
Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov himself commented on the incident in a Facebook post.
The enemy attacked the expert’s private residence using a “Shahed”-type guided jet drone.
As a result of the enemy drone striking the building’s wall directly, the house was completely destroyed. Serhiy Beskrestnov, known by the call sign “Flash,” was wounded and is currently under medical supervision at a hospital.
“I no longer have a home. I was hit, but the main thing is that I’m miraculously alive. I was mentally prepared for such a turn of events, and this won’t stop me,” the victim himself commented on the attack on his Facebook page.
Serhiy “Flash” is one of Ukraine’s leading experts in the fields of communications, electronic warfare, and intelligence.
Since January 25, he has officially held the position of advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, where he oversees technological initiatives: the development of systems to counter Russian UAVs and the analysis of the enemy’s technical solutions.
