The enemy launched 62 attacks along the front line, 22 of which were in the Pokrovsk direction — General Staff
Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 62 times.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy’s greatest activity was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, where the occupiers made 22 attempts to advance. Fighting continues in the areas of several settlements, particularly near Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Rodynske, and others.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the enemy attacked Ukrainian military positions twice, carried out dozens of shelling attacks, and launched airstrikes using guided bombs.
Three attacks were recorded in the Kupiansk direction, four in the Lyman direction, and two in the Sloviansk direction. In the Kostyantynivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight assaults.
Combat operations also continued in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole sectors, where the Defense Forces repelled a series of enemy attacks.
In addition, Russian troops continue to shell border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions and carry out airstrikes on populated areas.
Total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of April 24, 2026, amount to approximately 1,323,460 personnel. Over the past 24 hours alone, another 910 soldiers were lost.
Ukrainian drones destroyed three Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in a single night in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. The “Tor-M2” and “Osa” systems were hit and were unable to effectively repel the attack. The operation demonstrated that Russian air defense systems do not always manage to respond even at the moment their own missiles are launched.
