Enemy shelling damaged a hangar and an educational institution in the Kyiv region

On the night of June 18, Russian occupation forces launched yet another combined strike on the Kyiv region, using ballistic missiles and attack drones in the air assault.

As a result of this hostile attack, damage to civilian and industrial infrastructure was reported in two districts of the Kyiv region.

Thanks to the effective and coordinated efforts of Ukrainian air defense units, a large-scale casualty toll was avoided, and the Russian strikes resulted in no casualties.

The defenders of Ukraine’s airspace demonstrated high proficiency by eliminating a significant number of enemy aerial targets.

In particular, within the Kyiv region, air defense forces successfully destroyed three dozen enemy drones.

Despite the successful downing of most of the aerial attack vehicles, debris and shock waves caused damage to buildings.

The head of the Regional Military Administration noted that damage was recorded at several different locations.

“However, the consequences of the enemy attack were recorded in two districts of the region. In the Vyshhorod District, a hangar was damaged. In the Boryspil District, an educational institution, a private home, and the grounds of a business were damaged,” the official’s statement reads.

This was officially reported by Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, who provided details on the consequences of the nighttime shelling.
