An air raid alert was declared for the first time in the Omsk Region of the Russian Federation

In the Omsk Region of the Russian Federation, an air raid alert was issued for the first time due to the threat of a missile strike.

Local authorities and relevant emergency services urged the population to take immediate safety precautions, sparking significant discussion among residents of the Siberian region.

Regional authorities officially reported the emergence of a threat unprecedented for this territory. The governor of Siberia promptly published an appeal to the civilian population on his social media accounts.

In particular, Vitaly Khotsenko, the governor of the Siberian region, warned of the danger.

In addition to the regional governor’s official statements, emergency mobile communication systems were activated in the region. The mass distribution of emergency alerts prompted many local residents to seek shelter.

Residents of Omsk also report receiving SMS messages warning of a missile threat.

This incident caused a significant stir in Russian society, as the region has traditionally been considered a deep rear area. The recorded security measures demonstrate a significant expansion of the zone of potential air threat within the aggressor country’s territory.

Experts note that the distance from Omsk to the border with Ukraine is over 2,000 kilometers.
