Occupier losses have reached 1.2 million people — the General Staff published enemy losses
As of December 24, 2025, the losses of the Russian military since the start of the full-scale war have exceeded 1.2 million people.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noting that more than one thousand enemy soldiers were eliminated over the past day alone. This indicates significant Russian losses during the conflict that has been ongoing since February 2022.
Thus, from February 24, 2022 to December 24, 2025 inclusive, the estimated combat losses of the enemy amount to:
- Personnel — about 1,200,370 (+1,090) people
- Tanks — 11,449 (+3)
- Armored combat vehicles — 23,796 (+4) units
- Artillery systems — 35,298 (+11) units
- Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) — 1,579 (+3) units
- Air defense systems — 1,263 units
- Aircraft — 434 units
- Helicopters — 347 units
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 94,197 (+1,031) units
- Cruise missiles — 4,107 (+34) units
- Ships / boats — 28 units
- Submarines — 2 units
- Automotive equipment and fuel tankers — 71,125 (+159) units
- Special equipment — 4,029 (+1) units

At the same time, the situation on the front remains difficult: Ukrainian forces continue defensive operations along strategic directions. According to the latest data, strategic objectives in Kupiansk and Pokrovsk remain under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; however, the city of Siversk in Donetsk region has been lost, which is attributed to favorable weather conditions for Russian units. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the situation on the front has worsened, emphasizing the increasing pressure from the enemy.
At the same time, negotiations regarding a U.S. peace plan are ongoing, with the issue of territorial changes remaining open. These discussions are important for establishing stability in the region. However, Ukrainian military operations continue, and despite the losses, the situation on the front requires close monitoring.
