YouTube has blocked 31 channels in Ukraine linked to Russian artists, propagandists, and individuals subject to sanctions.

The list includes channels belonging to Philip Kirkorov, Grigory Leps, Sergey Lazarev, Valeria, Larisa Dolina, Irina Allegrova, and the band “Pelageya.” Access has also been restricted to the channels of Denis Maidanov and Yulia Chicherina, who support Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

The channels of former People’s Artists of Ukraine Taisiya Povaliy and Ani Lorak, who continued to work in Russia after the start of the full-scale invasion, have also been blocked. The restrictions also apply to opera singers Anna Netrebko and Vasyl Gerell.

In addition, YouTube has blocked the channel of Russian propagandist Tatyana Pop, the accounts of sanctioned companies—including Kaspersky Russia—as well as the channels of sanctioned former Ukrainian People’s Deputies Yevgeny Murayev and Renat Kuzmin.

The Center for Countering Disinformation stated that the blocked resources were used to spread Russian propaganda, glorify war criminals, and support Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

The Center emphasized that it continues to work to restrict the activities of Russian information resources in the Ukrainian digital space.

YouTube removed Serbian director Emir Kusturica’s channel “My Life,” which he created in collaboration with Sputnik Serbia. Prior to being blocked, the channel had about 30,000 subscribers.

YouTube has blocked 12 channels in Ukraine that spread Kremlin narratives, justified Russian aggression, and supported the Russian military.
